The first, comprehensive visit where the physical therapist assesses your condition. It includes a detailed history, movement analysis, strength and mobility testing, functional screening, and clinical diagnosis of movement impairments. The therapist then establishes a plan of care with goals, expected outcomes, and a treatment strategy tailored to your specific needs.
A Follow-Up visit is an ongoing, goal-directed visit focused on executing and progressing the established plan of care. It includes interventions such as therapeutic exercise, manual therapy, neuromuscular re-education, and functional training aimed at improving impairments identified during the evaluation and advancing the patient toward recovery, performance, or maintenance goals.
